TAXES. Letters of payment

Obtaining the documents necessary to make payment of amounts due.

¿Who can request this?

 

  • Account holders and authorised persons.
  • Online:
    - for bills: any person who provides the bill number (only during the voluntary payment period).

  • Applicable dates:
    - In-person, at any time for any type of amount due. Those for which the voluntary payment period has expired will be subject to the appropriate charges and interest.
    - For online bills, any person who provides the bill number (only during the voluntary payment period).

  • Delivery time:Immediately

Documentation required

 

  • Identification for the interested party: original of the current national identity card (DNI) or equivalent.
  • Representatives must provide proof of their status by any legally valid means.
  • If collected by a third party, their identification and that of the interested party (copy of the identity documents) and authorisation of the interested part
  • For a legal entity: copy of the power of attorney or authorisation, copy of the deed of incorporation, copy of the representative’s identity document, and if applicable, of the authorising and granting party, and copy of the tax identification card.
  • Online the bill number is all that is required (the payment document only includes the essential information to identify and pay the bill, omitting any personal information). Letters of payment may only be obtained online during the voluntary payment period.

Procedure:

There are various procedures for this municipal service. Depending on the type of procedure, there are a number of steps to follow:

In-person procedure:

 

  • Visit a Citizen Services Office (for any type of letter of payment) or a Municipal Citizen Services Office (OMAC) (only for IBI (property tax) and IVTM (road tax) letters of payment during their voluntary payment periods).
  • Provide proof of identity or representation if you are not the interested party, and if applicable, provide the necessary documents.
  • SYou will receive the letter of payment.
  • Make the payment with the information obtained from the letter of payment, within the period indicated on the same, at any partner institution..

 

Telephone procedure:

 

  • Contact the Tax Administration on 951 92 92 92.
  • The identity of the interested party will be verified.
  • The payment document will be sent to the account holder and the address that appears in our tax database.
  • Make the payment with the information obtained from the letter of payment, within the period indicated on the same, at any partner institution.

 

Procedure without digital certificate

 

  • Go to the Obtain letters of payment without digital certificate page online (only for letters of payment for bills within their voluntary payment period).
  • Select the tax and indicate the bill number (you will find this on any letter of payment for that bill from a previous period). For IVTM (road tax), the bill number is the vehicle’s number plate.
  • Click ‘Obtener C.P.’
  • The letter of payment will appear in a PDF file, which you may save or print. Verify that the bill number and tax object coincide with what you want to pay.
  • Make the payment with the information obtained from the letter of payment, within the period indicated on the same, at any partner institution.
